New Life Church is a congregation with a mission to encourage and empower people to become disciples of Jesus; fully devoted participants in the life and ministry of Jesus in the 21st century. Being a disciple is a 24/7 opportunity to be integral to God’s presence to families, friends, the neighborhoods and our communities. We have a particular focus on helping those who have been disenfranchised by their church experiences or who have felt distanced from God to find a new God-encounter that gives them life.
Upon completion of the Guest Gathering, the New Life Class and enrollment and/or participation in our Kingdom Keys Discipleship course you are eligible to become a member at New Life Church. New members are recognized at our New Member Celebration held once in the spring and once in the fall but you can become a member at anytime. The dates of these celebrations are announced one month prior. Below you will find the details on the classes required toward membership at New Life.
Are you interested in growing with others at New Life and becoming a part of this vibrant community of faith? Ann Walsvik, Director of Ministries is here to help you do just that. The first step you can take is to attend the Guest Gathering class to find out a little bit more about New Life Church and the vision that we uphold. Classes are held regularly throughout the year. Informal one hour gatherings with New Life staff and/or the Pastor. The next class will be held on Sunday, October 9th, 2011 at 11:45 am. A light lunch will be provided and childcare can be provided upon advance notice. (register)
All those considering membership at New Life Church are also asked to participate in our Kingdom Keys Discipleship course. This is a four part course consisting of the following classes: Spirituality, Community, Leadership and Envision. Everyone who attends at New Life is encouraged to be part of this excellent opportunity to discover more about God, the energy of God within ourselves and how that is expressed in community with others as well as the character of God’s son Jesus. We ask that all those interested in committing to the ministries and mission of New Life be enrolled or have taken at least one part of this four-part course. Two of these courses are offered each fall and spring.
