"With All Your Heart" DVD study by Ray Vanderlaan

9 am - 11 am

Ray Vander Laan takes us on a journey through Sinai and Israel, a region that is still largely desert but at times filled with lush, bountiful places. We will discover how Jesus called people to live in the Promised land. What can we learn during times of abundance and in times of desert. God led his people back to the desert often to relearn the lessons they had forgotten. John the Baptist and Jesus had powerful encounters in the desert.

We will learn that the desert is where we are closest to God. It is where our relationship with God is at peace. Faith Lessons are designed to help the viewer walk through the land that Jesus and the disciples walked, learn and understand how the culture and politics of the first century influenced the imagery and stories of the Bible, and see the text through the eyes of God's chosen people, the Jews. Guest Gathering

Is this your first visit? Have you been visiting for months and want to know more about New Life? Pastor Rob Carlson will be leading class for our guest and visitors to get to know a bit more about New Life Church, where we came from and where we are going.

There will be a light lunch served, we ask that you please sign up so we can plan for you. The class will be one hour and gives you an opportunity to meet Pastor Rob and to get to know others who are new to the church.

"Faith Moves"

New Women's group is now forming. This informal group would meet once a month for prayer and a shared form of exercise such as a long walk, outdoor job on the New Life Paths, indoor aerobic video, bike, boot camp etc. The goal is to simply move more, live healthy & be encouraged by other women in a positve setting.

We will honor all those becoming members at New Life Church at all three worship times. Between services we will celebrate with cake. If you have participated in the Guest Gathering, New Life class and have taken or are enrolled in either the Kingdom Keys Spirituality or Community classes you are eligible for membership. If it is your desire to become a member at this time please call New Life Church at 223-9337. If you wish to pursue membership but have not taken any oth the classes yet, no problem! eMerge Youth Group Event

Luther College Church Youth Fest 2010
November 13-14th

High School Youth from congregations in the region are invited to join Luther students for a weekend of celebrations, workshops, relationship building, worship and recreation. The theme for the weekend is " Live Love Fearlessly" drawn from 1 John 4:18 "perfect love casts out fear"

Music will be provided by 100 white flags. Guest Speaker will be Carl-Eric Gentes, a 2002 Luther Grad who brings his unique theological lens and fearless attempts at sharing the gospel through mixed media. Cost is only $45 per youth, $30 per adult sponsor. Registration materials will be available in September!

4th Monday of the Month from 6-8pm

Do you have a love for fibers (knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving or felting, etc.) and enjoy sharing your experience and wisdom about your craft? Perhaps you would like to learn a new one, you're exatly the kind of person we're looking for.

New Life Gardening

Wednesdays from 6-8pm

God gave us the Earth to care for, but also provided nature as an opportunity to further investigate Him an dour spirituality. Each week we'll have a short prayer and thought with this in mind. Come join us every Wednesday as we'll have a fun gardening topic, share ideas/plants/prayer and spend some time in the New Life garden. MOMSnext

Join us for MOMSnext the third Wednesday of each month from September through May from 7 - 8:30 pm. MOMSnext is a group that meets monthly to encourage and support Moms of elementary age children. Re-"New" for moms

First Sunday of the Month through August
10:30am-11:30am in the Education Room right after Worship for kids

It's a perfect time to celebrate and support moms by offering a place just for you to hang out. We'll have a light topic as well as plenty room to chat. Think of it as a sweet refreshment for your mind, body and spirit! "Sports on Sunday for dads and kids" meets at the same time giving you this special time for yourself. Kid zone is also open. Join us for great fun, freindship and encouragement. Come to them all or to the ones you can. Your worth it! Free "pamper yourself" door prizes at each gathering. Next Gathering is July 4th.
