Ministry to Mothers “MOPS Mothers of Preschoolers International”
At MOPS International we believe Better Moms Make a Better World. As mothers enter the school years, new challenges and issues arise, but the need for community and hope remains. For this reason we are happy to announce the launching of “Ministry to Mothers of School-Age Kids (Age 6-11)!” starting in September! MOPS has been reaching out to mothers of preschoolers for thirty-six years to encourage, equip and develop them to be better moms. Now this group format will encourage, equip and develop moms in the next phase of mothering. Join us as we launch this ministry to reach mothers with community and hope that is life-changing. Sign up in the bulletin or contact Jillene Fisch at 241-5244 or email jillenes_beans@yahoo.com for more information.

Effective Ministry to “20 & 30 Something’s” – A Simulcast
Imagine being able to listen in to some of the Church’s most effective leaders for ministry with “20 & 30 Something’s”. It’s happening here via a satellite simulcast on Saturday, November 7.
The outstanding and nationally known speakers include:
Francis Chan – Teaching Pastor of Cornerstone Church, Simi Valley, California,
Donald Miller – Speaker & Author of “Blue Like Jazz”,
Catherine Rohr – Founder & CEO, Prison Entrepreneurship,
George Barna – The Barna Group, focused on the intersection of faith and culture
Mark Batterson – Lead Pastor, National Community Church in Washington D.C
Typically “20 & 30 Somethings” are interested in the spiritual as it relates to the practical. They want to connect with a mission that’s bigger than themselves and want their lives to count for something. The Church has much to offer them. They have even more to offer the Church.
The question is how we in the Church might effectively connect with this generation and invite them into God’s vision when so many aren’t participating in a local congregation. To do so we must understand who they are, listen for their hopes, acknowledge their value, and help to encourage them to impact not only the local community, but also the world.
The cost for this event is $40 which includes the event, lunch, and breaks.
