Healthy Congregations Workshop
Healthy Congregations Workshop: A Program Providing the Ideas and Tools to Create Healthy Congregations
Developed by noted author and lecturer, Peter Steinke, the workshop will enable participants to:
1) Gain a renewed sense of purpose and mission,
2) Cultivate strong leadership capacities,
3) Develop healthy patterns of church live,
4) Boost confidence in responding to challenges and opportunities,
5) Lead with reflective processing,
6) Reflect theologically about relationships
7) Move the congregation into healthy ways of functioning.
The goal of the workshop is to help pastors understand and apply family systems principles to their contexts to be able to lead more boldly while developing lay leaders to promote congregational health. Through the use of videotapes, case studies, workbook and conversation, participants will learn how to enhance their own leadership strength and to positively impact the spiritual health of their congregation.
The six sessions of the workshop include great information with regard to:
1) Creating Healthy Congregations,
2) Healthy & Positive Change,
3) Leadership,
4) Healthy Relationships in Ministry,
5) Developing Generous Leaders
6) The Spiritual Care in Healthy Congregations.
Pastors are invited to New Life Lutheran in Madison for this 2-day event on November 2 & 3. The Rev. Jerry Tews will be the facilitator.
The cost is $325. Lunch for both days and all materials are included in the price. A deposit of $100 reserves a spot.
