Monthly Gathering on the 1st Monday of the month

Common Threads is a group of people who love to work with fiber of any kind such as sheep’s wool, alpaca, angora, llama, cotton, etc.  The participants’ crafts range from knitting, spinning, weaving, crochet, sewing, tatting, felting or pretty much anything that utilizes that medium.  Periodically we craft for a charity. It is not uncommon to learn a new craft, inspired by one of the others in the group.

This is an open meeting time, come in when you can.  Visit with fiber friends and work on your projects.  Show and tell of your projects is always welcome.

We will take a break until September!

Join us Saturday, September 9th

Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival in Jefferson, WI

8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Join us as we attend the Festival to see a variety of sheep breeds, watch demonstrations, shop and have a wonderful opportunity to learn about the joys of the wool industry!

We will meet at New Life Church and carpool  (leaving at 8:30 a.m. Sharp!).  This is a big event with a lot of walking.  Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable walking shoes and a water bottle.  Concessions are available, or bring your own lunch.  This event is for 18 and older.  Admission is $8.00

You do not need to be a member of New Life Church to be a part of this group.  You also do not need to be able to come to every meeting.

Contact leader Kelly Webster or Myrna Springer for more information about this great group or about our great Smiles Squared project!
